What We Believe
We believe in one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We affirm that God is infinite in power, wisdom, love, and holiness, and that He created the universe out of nothing for His own glory. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Colossians 1:16)
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life. He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of all people, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven, where He is now seated at the right hand of the Father, and He will return again in power and glory to judge the living and the dead. (Matthew 1:23, John 1:1, Philippians 2:5-8, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, Hebrews 9:28, Revelation 20:11-15)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is a person and fully God. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and He regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers believers for witness and service. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, which empowers believers for a more effective witness and the manifestation of spiritual gifts. (John 14:16-17, 26, John 16:7-11, Titus 3:5, 1 Corinthians 6:11, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)
We believe in the holy Christian Church, which is the universal body of believers in Christ, made up of all who have been saved through faith in Him. We affirm the importance of local churches for worship, fellowship, and ministry, and we recognize the need for accountability and leadership in the church. (Ephesians 1:22-23, Ephesians 4:4-6, Hebrews 10:25, Acts 2:42-47, 1 Timothy 3:1-13)
We believe in the communion of saints, which is the fellowship of all believers in Christ, both living and dead. We affirm the reality of the spiritual realm, including angels and demons, and we recognize the ongoing spiritual warfare that takes place in the world. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Hebrews 12:1, Ephesians 6:12)
We believe in the forgiveness of sins, which is available to all who repent and place their faith in Christ. We affirm the importance of baptism by immersion as an outward expression of this inward faith, and we recognize the significance of the Lord's Supper as a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. (Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Romans 10:9, Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
We believe in the resurrection of the body, which is the future bodily resurrection of all believers to eternal life in Christ, and the final judgment of all people, both believers and unbelievers. We affirm the reality of heaven and hell as eternal destinations for the saved and the lost, respectively( 1 Corinthians 15:42-44, John4:28-29, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matthew 25:31-46, Revelation 20:11-15)
We believe in the life everlasting, which is the eternal existence of all people, either in the presence of God or separated from Him. We affirm that this life is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Christ alone, and that it is the responsibility of all believers to share this message of salvation with the world.”(John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 4:12)
